    Biotech Chemical Deemed as Carcinogenic

A common weed killer active ingredient has been tagged as a carcinogenic by the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment or OEHHA. The decision meant adding glyphosate California’s list of chemicals known to cause cancer effective July 7.

Monsanto’s Herbicide to Be Labeled as Cancer-Causing in California

According to the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA), Glyphosate, the active ingredient in Monsanto’s popular Roundup weed killer, will be added to California’s list of chemicals known to cause cancer effective July 7.

Monsanto vowed to continue its legal fight against the designation, calling the decision “unwarranted on the basis of science and the law.”

This listing is the latest legal setback for the seeds and chemicals company, which has faced increasing litigation over glyphosate since the World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer said that it probably is a carcinogenic in a ruling in 2015.

A weed killer, Dicamba, that is designated for use with Monsanto’s next generation of biotech crops, is now under scrutiny in Arkansas after the state’s plant board voted last week to ban the chemical.

Adding glyphosate to California’s Proposition 65 requires companies selling the compound in the state to add warning labels to packaging. The warnings are also required if the chemical is sprayed at unsafe levels.

Meanwhile, Masanto’s Vice President Scott Partridge vowed to continue challenging what the company believes to be an “improper decision.”

  • Natural Method, The Hope For Curing This Dreaded Disease?

Natural Method, The Hope For Curing This Dreaded Disease?

For those doubting the curative effects of alternative medicine, here’s an interesting news that’s sure to shed more light on natural healing. A medical doctor disillusioned with medicine to cure Lyme disease has stumbled upon a potential cure.

After spending fifteen years of his life practicing modern medicine, Dr. Rawls lost faith in it after being diagnosed with Lyme Disease. He later found what worked wonders for him in the alternative world and now advocates this treatment protocol for others.

His story is important for multiple reasons. It is personal as Dr. Rawls describes in detail his symptoms, diagnosis, and healing timeline. He also explains from his years of experience with pharmaceuticals, why – at least when it comes to Lyme – antibiotics do not work, and how he found legitimate proof that alternative medicine does.

He confirms why most people going the conventional route never fully recover – modern medicine simply does not understand Lyme Disease, he says.

Dr. Rawls was originally diagnosed with fibromyalgia, but later found out that he has Lyme Disease.  In his late 40s at the time, he eventually realized that all of the symptoms of Lyme disease were there. After being bitten by a tick one July, he had a bull-eye reaction at the bite site – a clear sign of Lyme, which a test later confirmed.

Antibiotics caused him to feel nauseous and generally horrible, and did nothing to affect the Lyme Disease. When researching more into it, Dr. Rawls found out something shocking — no clinical study has ever shown any real benefit of antibiotics when used to treat chronic Lyme.

Modern medicine has no other answer except prescription medications that treated the symptoms of Lyme disease, not the Lyme disease itself.

“My faith in the medical system diminished,” he writes on his website, Rawls M.D.

His search expanded into all of the existing alternative methods, from Rife machines to natural herbal therapy. He analyzed all available options based on cost and available scientific evidence.

What he found to be the most compelling was information from Stephen Buhner’s book, “Healing Lyme.” Dr. Rawls describes Buhner’s approach as “logical and based on sound scientific evidence.” While still a little skeptical, he gave the protocol provided in the book a try, and to his surprise – it worked.

In just weeks, Dr. Rawls felt less pain and many of his symptoms subsided. In three months, he writes that he “felt human again.” With each new month he felt better and better, and in a few years came as close as he thinks it is possible to a complete recovery.

The good doctor was able to recover from Lyme disease completely, writing that alternative healing change his life completely. Dr. Rawls adds that antibiotics are not the most effective treatment for chronic Lyme disease. The Buhner Protocol is said to have a success rate of about 75%.

  • Surprising Result of Legalizing Marijuana

    Surprising Result of Legalizing Marijuana

A landmark study found that legalization could decrease the crime rate. The results of the study, which was widely believed to increase the crime rate, suggest that marijuana may not be the crime magnet that it is believed to be.

Study Shows Legal Cannabis Sales Reduce Crime

Contrary to popular belief among champions of the prison-industrial complex, closing down medical cannabis dispensaries does not reduce crime in their immediate vicinity.

A new landmark study shows legal weed actually reduces crime and increases walkability scores in legalized areas.

Marijuana has been labelled an ‘illicit’ drug, banned and ridiculed for over a hundred years, while the pharmaceutical industry and other related industries such as oil and motor have flourished.

Big Pharma peddles merchandise mainly derived from nature, before being engineered in a lab and patented for commercial purposes, as ‘legitimate’ drugs.

For thousands of years across the globe cannabis has been used by people in medicine and commerce.

The cannabis plant hemp could have put the automobile, oil and the plastics industries out of business before they had a chance to enrich the oligarchy and the Rockefeller family.

Industrial hemp could have replaced materials used in cars. It has many uses and can be made into wax, resin, rope, cloth paper and fuel.

And marijuana, which comes from the same species of plant as hemp, could have taken the study of medicine to new levels, where prevention would have replaced cure as doctrine, cutting out unnecessary medical treatments and dangerous pills.

Contrary to the fear mongering from the champion of the prison industrial complex, legal weed actually reduces crime.

In the study, titled, “Going to pot? The impact of dispensary closures on crime,” researchers Tom Y. Chang from the USC Marshall School of Business, and Mireille Jacobson from The Paul Merage School of Business at UC Irvine, looked at what happens with the government forced medical marijuana dispensaries to close. What they found was immediately following a closure of a dispensary — crime rates went up.

The researchers noted that dispensaries actually increase the ‘walkability score’ of a neighborhood which deters criminal activity.

Legalization resulted in the direct opposite, it reduced crime in its immediate vicinity, according to Mireille Jacobson, one of the co-authors of the study. The study illustrates how prohibition could ease criminal behavior and the prevalence of illegal black markets.

By decriminalizing marijuana, criminal gangs won’t swoop in to protect sales territory and supply chains.

  • UK Says No to Marijuana Legalization

UK Says No to Marijuana Legalization

The UK government has rejected calls to legalize medical marijuana consumption in the country. This, despite mounting evidence that highlights the benefits of medical marijuana.

Marijuana is considered as a class B drug in the UK and possession carries a maximum of 5 years prison sentence.

UK will NOT legalize cannabis, government declares

The Government has ‘no intention’ of making cannabis legal in the UK, officials have announced in a new blitz on drugs.

Despite a growing body of evidence showing the world’s favourite recreational drug to be safe, possession will remain punishable with jail.

Experts have slammed the Home Office’s controversial decision, describing it as a ‘missed opportunity’ to legalise the herb.

But ministers pointed to various studies that have shown cannabis to be detrimental to human health, with significant links to schizophrenia.

Such worrying associations have existed for decades, and were responsible the decision to reclassify the drug to a Class B nine years ago.

In recent years, Spain, South Africa, Uruguay and several states in the US have made cannabis legal for recreational use.

Pressure has been increasing on the UK to follow suit and update its drug policy, with many citing weed’s medicinal properties.

According to Ian Hamilton, a NYC-based drug researcher, the UK’s stance on marijuana use suggests that the country is lagging behind in terms of “adopting progressive policies towards drug use.” Hamilton added that UK’s cannabis ban is a missed opportunity to provide access to less harmful drugs to the public.

  • Are Gut Bacteria the Key To Curing This Mental Disorder?

Are Gut Bacteria the Key To Curing This Mental Disorder?

Are gut bacteria the key to curing ADHD? A group of scientists is looking deeper into beneficial bacteria as a way to naturally regulate mood. According to Dr. Michael Bailey, the OSU study’s co-author, gut bacteria, and the brain interact in such a way that impacts a toddler’s mood.

The discovery may help regulate mood-regulating chemicals, such as serotonin, dopamine, and gamma-aminobutyric acid or GABA, among children suffering from ADHD.

Gut Bacteria More Effective At Curing ADHD Than Big Pharma’s Pills

Doctors should stop prescribing pharmaceutical drugs for children and instead “diversify their gut bacteria” and encourage them to spend more time outdoors, according to an Ohio State University study.

The researchers made the astonishing discovery that gut bacteria plays a profound role in influencing the temperament of toddlers. Mood, curiosity, sociability, impulsivity, and — in particularly in young boys — extroversion, are in large part determined by the diversity of gut bacteria in the child’s system.

The research proves that the microorganisms swimming around your pipes not only digests food and fights disease, they also secrete mood-regulating chemicals like serotonin, dopamine, and gamma-aminobutyric acid or GABA.

When doctors prescribe mood-altering drugs like Ritalin and Adderall, the diversity of a child’s gut bacteria is devastated, leaving the body unable to naturally regulate mood, thus forming a lifelong dependence on Big Pharma.

The study suggests that toddlers prescribed pharmaceutical drugs to regulate mood should instead be prescribed with healthy diets to diversify the gut flora.

Dr. Lisa Christian, one of the co-authors of the study, analyzed stool samples of 77 kids, ages 18 to 27 mont5hs. She said there is a possibility that the type of food children eat affects their temperament. Choosing certain types of foods may “affect their microbiome.”

  • [New Tech] How to boost athletic performance no matter your sport

[New Tech] How to boost athletic performance no matter your sport

Athletes are always looking for method to boost performance which are not banned as performance enhancement drugs. After all who else wouldn’t want an edge over the competition?

But with doping in the limelight what’s next for boosting performance?

Did you know that pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy is becoming one of the most widely used secrets among athletes who use it for a wide

variety of conditions and even just for boosting endurance during strenuous exercise? Athletes are especially prone to bone trauma because they go through rigorous training regularly.

A study published on PubMed.gov found that PEMF treatments could accelerate healing of bone trauma[1] in live rats. Another study found that the treatment improved tendon-to-bone healing in injured animal subjects[2]. Studies suggest that PEMF treatments help improve the bones’ microstructure[3]. Although these clinical tests do not involve human subjects, the results are quite promising.

And the anecdotal reports are stacking high while some athletes keep it rather secret so they can have an edge on their competitors. It’s one of the few endurance methods that seems to be off the radar enough that it’s not banned.

The fact is, the human body is in tune with the natural magnetic field of the earth. We don’t see or feel the magnetic fields but they affect the minute details of our lives, along with all the creatures of the earth. Suffice it to say, all aspects of a human body’s biological response are based on the planet’s electromagnetic field.

The Connection Between Electromagnetic Pulse and the Human Body

To understand the effects of pulsed electromagnetic fields on your body, you need to know how the body works at a cellular level.

Each healthy cell in your body is electronically charged. Within the cells, there is a continuous flow of electromagnetic energy. This energy is a natural part of cellular metabolism. Of course, the body does have diseased or damaged cells too. These cells have an unstable electronic charge and a lower voltage potential, which affects overall health.

PEMF utilizes pulsating coils in various configurations to re-energize healthy and damaged cells alike. The process is simple enough, a device that produces health-enhancing electromagnetic fields is applied on the affected area to promote the enhancement of your natural healing mechanisms. Think of PEMF therapy as a cellular workout. It breathes life back into damaged cells and promotes cell repair to reinvigorate the body.

But keep in mind there are many different types of pulsed magnetic therapy systems. The most apparent difference between them is the intensity of

    the pulsating field.

The way they all work is there’s a coil which is pulsed by a frequency generator, these rhythmic pulses build a magnetic field on the rise of the pulse then collapse the magnetic field on itself during the fall of the pulse.

Think of the pulsation like a push and pull on the flow of energy in your body. Every conductive pathway such as your blood vessels is influenced by these pulses causing minute flows of electric current to be “induced” into your tissue.

A typical PEMF session can be conducted in the privacy of your own home. One treatment, depending on the type of device, can be anywhere from a few minutes to an entire night while you’re sleeping.

    PEMF Therapy: Building Healthy Bones

Your bone density will depend on how fit you are. This is the reason why athletes have a greater bone mineral density than non-active individuals. The therapeutic effects of PEMF sessions promote fracture repair[4] and bone tissue regeneration. The treatment could be beneficial for people who suffer from bone or joint-related conditions, including osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoarthritis and more research is ongoing. What’s more, the healing benefits of PEMF have little to no side effects.

Although all the mechanisms of action for electromagnetic stimulation on cellular process are still unclear, preclinical studies show that PEMF treatments provide constant stimulation of the bone and fractured sites that contribute to faster bone or joint healing[5].

    PEMF Therapy: Healing Soft Tissues

Athletes are prone to common aches and pains because again, they go through punishing fitness routines that are hard on the soft tissues. All that intense training leads to muscle, ligament, and tendon damage.

In a study published in the Journal of Inflammation Research, scientists found that pulsed electromagnetic field treatments trigger the expression of genes related to inflammation including the resolution of inflammation caused by damaged soft tissues[6]. The therapy was also highly recommended for easing surgery pains and edema[7].

PEMF therapy makes a fantastic after-treatment for athletes because it promotes cell repair, inevitably healing soft tissues. The treatment enhances athletic performance by reversing the damage caused by intense training. Apart from repairing damaged soft tissues, PEMF treatments help reduce

swelling, accelerate nerve regeneration while building a stronger immune response.

    PEMF Therapy: Enhancing Oxygen Absorption

It’s no secret that proper oxygen absorption affects a person’s athletic performance. The fact is, oxygen absorption is critical to cell health. Your cells need a constant supply of oxygen to stay healthy.

Professional athletes take great pains in developing their bodies to establish efficient cellular respiration. This process turns oxygen into energy. Poor oxygen absorption weakens the cells. When the body runs out of oxygen, the muscles run out of energy. When this happens, fatigue sets in.

Simply put, oxygen absorption can make or break your physical performance, regardless if you are an athlete or not. PEMF therapy promotes oxygenation of the tissues while protecting the cells from free radicals damage[8].

PEMF therapy eases pain by changing the tissue environment from which the pain starts. There are compelling evidence suggesting the effectiveness of PEMF therapy in terms of reducing acute ankle pains, chronic wound pain, and whiplash injuries. The treatment also boosts circulation so oxygen is distributed to major organs efficiently. The constant supply of oxygenated blood promotes a healthy heart, boost cardiac function and speeds up muscle recovery. All these are beneficial to professional athletes and everyday people alike.

    PEMF Therapy: Pain Management

Athletes are no stranger to pain. Subjecting the body to extreme workouts cause sore muscles and painful joints – particularly in the arms and legs. When you are in pain, you are not able to perform at your best. This can be problematic if you are into competitive or endurance sports. The body has to be in tiptop shape for optimal performance.

Unlike healthy cells in which negative and positive ions – along with fluid, oxygen, and nutrients – are balanced, injured cells are unstable and have a low millivolt potential. Because the ability of unhealthy cells to function is affected by stress, cellular degeneration sets in. This can lead to cell death (called apoptosis), which affects overall health and athletic performance.

After all your body needs new cells to replace all the dead and dying cells. Luckily there may be hope for PEMF therapy to help optimize your ability to regenerate cells if you also have the right building block nutrients in your system.

PEMF therapy eases pain particularly back pain[9], postoperative pain, and chronic knee pain. Studies suggest that regular PEMF treatment relieves pain, soothes inflammation while promoting faster recovery[10]. The treatment works on a cellular level to reinvigorate the body and soothe inflammation. By suppressing inflammation, the body can heal itself without discomfort.

    PEMF Therapy: Recovery Time

Proper rest after working out is just as important as staying fit. This goes especially if you want to gain muscle mass or if you’re trying to build stamina. The human body needs to adapt to the stress caused by working out. This is the reason why professional athletes are given enough recovery time after a grueling workout. A person, no matter how fit, cannot go on days without resting because the constant stress[11] could destroy the soft tissues. In addition, proper rest reduces the likelihood of injuries.

During the recovery period, the body is replenishing itself of the energy lost during training. Fluid loss and trauma could cause muscle tissues to break down. And don’t think a day or two of rest is enough for the body to recover from continuous training. It will take the body weeks of non-activity before progress or performance dips!

PEMF therapy reverses the effects of everyday stress while enhancing mental and physical performance. The treatment promotes strong bones[12] and reduce recovery time so you’ll bounce back stronger than ever.
